The Empty Nest is awaiting guests who need some R&R, are in town for an event, or just need a change of scenery. We are 35 minutes from Notre Dame, 45 minutes to Warren Dunes, 15 minutes from IN State Line, and 20 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski Resort. The house is in close proximity to many all sport lakes, fishing lakes, snowmobile trails, public beach, and small town shops & restaurants. There are a few county parks near and a Casino within 15 minutes driving distance for extra entertainment!

Whether your wanting a quite weekend retreat or a family get together this cottage meets your needs. A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (our main residence) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. The Nest can accommodate a maximum of 19 guests. The Nest is a spacious sanctuary sitting on 9 acres of beautifully wooded property. Located around 20 minutes from Notre Dame, 15 minutes from the best restaurants in the area, and 30-45 minutes from Michigan Wine Country and lakeshore.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Nestled among the trees, it provides a quiet getaway from the chaos of life allowing you to recharge and renew. The main residence is approximately 400 feet from the cabin. The cabin is secluded and yet close to local attractions, restaurants, biking and nature trails. The Cabin has a total of 420 sq ft living space with 280 sq ft on the ground floor and a 140 sq ft bedroom loft.
