Shag Point Retreat

Our tranquil ocean side retreat, overlooking a tidal reef, is conveniently located a 15 minute drive to the famous Moeraki boulders, a 40 minute drive to the historic town of Oamaru and just 10 minutes to Palmerston for shopping . Shag Point Retreat offers private gardens, a unique base for exploring and also a quiet respite “off the beaten track”. Close by a wide sweeping sandy bay. Or head to the Conservation reserve, a 10 minute walk - coastal views, seals and bird life abounds.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a special place to stay in Oamaru. You will never tire of the view over the harbour. The home itself is immaculate and stylishly renovated. The beds and linen are excellent quality. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The walk down the path to the house is well worth it. The home is close to the Penguin Colony, the old part of town and Scott's Brewery. Unfortunately, the house is not child-friendly. We are unable to take bookings which include young children.

A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

We offer this unique tiny home with fantastic Ocean views. You can wake to the sunrise and watch the sunset at night all from your bed. We offer continental breakfast. Which includes eggs if the hens are laying. Outdoor spa, Complementary snacks and beverages. You may also bring your dog. 5mins drive to the centre of town. But have restaurants and grocery shops near by. Off street parking also. Just on the town boundary with a rural feel.

Kārearea is a spacious geodesic dome with panoramic mountain views, a private stainless-steel and cedar hot tub, and an outdoor deck with BBQ. Inside you’ll find wool carpet, comfortable couches, a king bed with quality cotton linen, plus two singles that can convert to a queen. The fully equipped kitchen includes induction cooking, microwave, air fryer and fridge, while heating and air conditioning keep the dome comfortable year-round.

Leven St Cottage

You will love spending time in this beautiful, historic cottage in the heart of Naseby Village. Built in 1882, the cottage has undergone a full restoration of the interior and now offers luxury accommodation. We are close to local shop, village pub, cafe, park (inc children play area), museum, information centre, tennis courts, Naseby Forest Recreation Area, swimming dam. Don't forget Naseby as a fantastic dark skies location!!

Seascape

Nestled amongst the native trees, up on sunny South hill , hides a mid-century gem. Elevated over the garden with a deck that completes the house giving prime views of the ocean and sunrise. 2 minutes down the hill to the historic precinct filled with many delights including Blue Penguins ,bakery, coffee, art galleries and breweries.The East Coast golden sand beaches are a short ten minute drive away.

The School House @ The Old Naseby School House

Yes, this is really The Old Naseby School House. This 2 bedroom house sleeps up to 7 people. A king room with ensuite, a second bedroom with 3 single beds, and the option of a double sofa bed in the lounge area. All beds have electric blankets. Full kitchen. Second bathroom with washing machine. The living area is heated by a heat pump. Outside is a verandah to BBQ & relax & enjoy the outdoor area.
