A charming spacious farm cottage with 2 ensuite bedrooms. An open-plan kitchen and living area flows onto a deck with a gas braai (BBQ) overlooking a tributary of the Timbavati river. Wandering around the farm you may bump into giraffe, zebra and other wildlife. There are extensive vegetable gardens and a fruit orchard providing a wide variety of organic produce. There are also ducks, geese, laying hens, bantams and other poultry. Fully solar powered so no electricity outages or blackouts.

This is a very comfortable, centrally-located family home with an open-plan living space leading out to a large deck, which overlooks a sparkling pool and treetops of the adjacent green belt. The house is best suited for up to 4 adults and their children (maximum 6 guests in total). Because the unit only has 2 ground floor bathrooms, we will not be able to accept booking requests for 6 adults. Strictly no noise and no parties allowed.

This shipping container has been loving converted into a beautiful space for two. It is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Each unit contains a kitchenette, free Wi-Fi access, and a patio/terrace area. Relax on the private deck with a cup of your favourite beverage to soak up the tranquillity of the natural bush surrounding this tiny home. Guests will have access to the 3.5 hectare farm to take a relaxing walk along the Snail Trail.

Kick back and relax at our unique little bushveld spot. Sit around the fire at night listening to the hippo and nightjars calling with a crystal clear canopy of stars above. You’ll be woken by franklin and purple crested louries coming to feed at first light, followed by a cacophony of Lowveld birds including resident fish eagles. Walk down to the river, and enjoy sundowners and snacks on the rocks with spectacular sunset views to the Drakensburg mountains in the distance.

Riverbed Africa Guesthouse

The Guest House is on the Gold diggers pass and has beautiful views of private nature reserve (MACNR). The Spekboom River is a twenty-minute brisk walk from the Guest House. The first thing you’ll notice about the guesthouse is it’s spacious open plan kitchen, dining room through to the living room. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom have a double bed and the third bedroom two single beds.

Bakoni Forest Lodge is set amongst several of Heybrook’s numerous circular ruins . The lodge nestles on the banks of the Paschner stream, itself enveloped in indigenous riverine forest. The open plan lodge opens out entirely to the expansive outdoor areas & occupies some 270 m². Close by, but importantly separated, deep under the forest canopy, is a well-equipped boma area.
