Being located in Port Ellen gives you a fantastic starting point for most sightseeing to be done on Islay, whether by car, foot, bus or bike there is plenty to do and see. Just minutes to Ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, pubs and bus stops. The 'three distillery path' starts opposite 20 mtrs away, a nice walk not just for distilleries, also for wildlife, views and the Islay fresh air.

Pier House

Pier House is beautifully located with stunning views. A huge lounge with Juliette balcony. The house is presented over 2 floors with the living room on the upper floor to maximise the exceptional vista. The house has all modern facilities and comes well equipped and presented. There are 4 bedrooms, a main bathroom, a separate wc and the master bedroom is complete with its own en-suite and shower. The property is on the edge of the beach and next to the pier, utterly perfectly located.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Gartartan Port Ellen Modern home with sea views

Gartartan provides stylish and contemporary accommodation with stunning sea views towards Kilnaughton Bay, Port Ellen (within 1 km) and beyond to Kintyre. Distilleries nearby. Gartartan is spacious with efficient underfloor heating and insulation. The open-plan living area has an abundance of light, wooden flooring throughout and a modern wood-burning stove. Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. This modern waterfront house sits right on Islay's scenic coastal route with stunning loch views. Sleeps 8 across 3 ground-floor bedrooms—perfect for families. Large enclosed garden with trampoline and swings. Walk to Bruichladdich Distillery (10 mins), beaches, and coastal paths. Underfloor heating and wood-burner make it cosy year-round. Dogs welcome. The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Whether you’re looking for a family break, a whisky enthusiast on the trail or a keen cyclist looking to explore the island, No7 Lagavulin is the perfect base for your Islay adventure. This traditional 3 bed ground floor distillery cottage features two double bedrooms and bunk bedroom (Sleeps 6) with separate living room, kitchen and main shower room. To the back of No7, you’ll find a good sized garden with views down to Lagavulin Bay.

Top Garden Flat

A very nicely converted traditional stone building which was originally a cattle shed. It is situated at the rear of 10 Charlotte Street, (Entrance to the Flats is from Back Road). The location means that while it is central, it is also away from the main road and is quiet. It is minutes walk from the shops, Hotel, Bistro, The 3 Distilleries Path and bus stop. A perfect location to be based while exploring Islay.

Cheerful 3 bedroom Cottage

The Cottage, which has free internet broadband, has an open plan kitchen/living area and is newly modernised with some classic features such as the multi fuel burning stove, vintage cast iron radiators and rope banister. Looking through the patio doors you get a view of Loch Indaal where you can witness most beautiful warm glowing sunsets in the evening.

Ideally situated on the edge of the village of Bowmore at the Centre of the island. The property is situated a few minutes’ walk from the “Main Street”, where you will find Bowmore Distillery, the MacTaggart Leisure Centre, Restaurants, shops, hotels, and public transport links to other areas of the island.
