A purpose-built family home with a large enclosed garden and off-street parking. The main street with all its amenities is a 2 minute walk. Escape to the aptly named Tigh Na Mara Cottage which in Gaelic means “at the edge of the sea”. This romantic cottage is a place to find your soul and escape the stresses of life. It sits right on the edge of Loch Fyne in the delightful fishing village of Newton. It has recently been fully refurbished and has unrivalled views over gorgeous Loch Fyne. You will be mesmerised by the shimmer of blue water through the windows. It’s also a short drive from the famous Inver Cottage Restaurant.

The area is a paradise for anyone who loves peace, wildlife or the outdoors. Tucked away in a relatively undiscovered corner of Argyll, the location is remote yet easily accessible from Glasgow. I spend much of the year here myself but love to rent it to others to enjoy whilst I'm away.

A beautiful one-bedroom private traditional stone cottage, The Steading is a self-contained cottage just across the courtyard from our main house. It benefits from a lovely setting amongst the Scottish countryside with glorious views across Loch Fyne, and has many unique features. There is ample private parking directly outside the cottage (spaces for two cars with extra parking if required) and you are free to enjoy the fields and open spaces around you.

Enjoy Oakdene Cottage and its great views with hosts next door. Dog friendly with nearly an acre of established garden and space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area whilst being relatively close to Glasgow with good connections and only ~50 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.

It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains.
