Relax and unwind in the cosy sunlit lounge or enjoy a glass of wine in the alfresco area. Take a stroll down the main street and explore the local shops, restaurants, markets, and cafe's. Or, ride your bike on the Riesling Trail visiting iconic cellar doors along the way. Whatever your choice, Digs on Daly is the perfect place to stay whilst enjoying the Clare Valley.

Our guest suite is fully self-contained with kitchenette, en suite bathroom, walk-in shower, spa and shared laundry. It is a new-build facility attached to the historic former Uniting Church in Spalding. The accommodation offers a relaxing overnight stay or respite for longer visits. Special features include the en suite spa bath, fully equipped kitchenette and laundry. We provide some food essentials: tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, milk, butter and condiments, however meals are not included.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.

If you're into mountain bikes, Melrose is one of the best attractions in South Australia. If you don't have a bike, you can hire them in town. Nestled in the stunning Clare Valley wine region is a cosy stone cottage. Graced with views of the natural surroundings and carefully planned to provide guests with a private experience, Mintaro Cottage's Cyprus villa is a fabulous setting for escape and relaxation. Crafted in 1856 from slate into a carpenter’s barn, with extensive restoration and contemporary open plan. The Villa boasts vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and a charming wood fireplace.

Alex's Country House

Alex's house is located in the South Australian town of Laura in the southern Flinders Ranges. Built in the early 1900's, this gracious comfortable house has a relaxed feel with generous rooms, high ceilings and modern amenities. It is filled with books, art, trashy novels, board games and spaces to play them or watch tv and lounge in front of the fire with a glass of local wine.
