At the Whistlestop Camp on the Greenbrier River, you can be the one that got away. This modest two bedroom, one bath home is in a prime location to facilitate all of West Virginia's outdoor recreational opportunities. From the camp, you can drop a line in the water, swim with the kids, kayak with friends, or read a book in the hammock. It's only minutes from the southern gateway to the New River Gorge and about 40 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort. Close to everything but away from it all!

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Sleeps up to 11 across 3 bedrooms — perfect for reunions, wedding parties, and extended family gatherings. Larew Cottage sits in Greenville, WV: 40 min to Hinton and New River Gorge National Park, ~1 hr to Pipestem Resort State Park (zipline, rafting, golf) and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg — a favorite base for football weekends and graduation. A wedding gift to my great grandmother, the Cottage has hosted family for 100+ years. Note: 1.5 shared bathrooms across 3 bedrooms.

The Cabin is located nearby the beautiful Greenbrier River in Summers County, WV in a quiet out of the way setting. Come sit by the fire pit (firewood available) and enjoy the peace and quiet.
