2023年に新しくオープンしました！ 場所は和歌山県の高野山で、天空の聖地と呼ばれ、標高900mほどの峰々に囲まれた山上盆地であり、町全体が世界遺産にも登録されています。 10年以上の高野山でのゲストハウス（Koyasan guesthouse Kokuu）の運営の経験を生かし、新たなチャレンジとして高野山内では初めての一棟の貸しを開始しました。 この宿は元々長年使われていなかったガレージをリノベーションしたもので、「山に籠るように過ごしてほしい」という思いから山籠（さんろう）と名付けました。この宿を隠れ家のようなものとして、選りすぐりの民芸品や器も楽しんでいただけるようにと思いを込めています。 一日一組限定で、完全にプライベートな空間と時間を提供します。友達や家族、カップルなど最大4名まで宿泊が可能で、自分とひたすら向き合う時間に、大切な人と思い出深い時間をお過ごしください。※宿泊中は完全に貸切状態で、他のゲストはいません。 チェックインはテンキーでの入館になりますが、入館後必ずホストが直接ご挨拶に伺い、施設案内、高野山の観光案内を致します。その他、滞在中は何でもご相談ください

Artist's house in Kyoto with a big cypress bath

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

A private Satoyama retreat in the mountains of Nara, just 20 minutes from the city. This traditional one-group-per-day house is renovated with reclaimed wood and uses fresh mountain spring water. Enjoy hands-on cooking with organic rice and vegetables from our farm. Relax in a wood-fired bath, and in the morning experience a Japanese tea ceremony surrounded by nature. 江戸時代に建てられた豪農邸宅をリノベーションした「あすかのまほろば」。 その離れの建物が「まほろの宿」として甦りました。 古い趣を残しつつ吉野の杉と檜を使用して、ゆったりくつろげるようにリノベーションしました。 一日一組限定の一棟貸切宿。誰にも気兼ねなく過ごせます。 パートナーと、ご家族と、グループで！もちろんおひとりさまも大歓迎。 庭の奥にある専用玄関を備えた独立した平屋の一軒家の宿です。 ヤマトタケルが美しさを讃えた「飛鳥」地域の中心地・明日香村川原にあります。 近隣には、日本初の写経が行われた「川原寺跡弘福寺」、聖徳太子生誕の地「橘寺」、明日香村や大和三山を一望できる「甘樫丘」など見所いっぱい。 「まほろ」とは、ヤマトタケルが詠った言葉で「素晴らしい場所」「住みやすい場所」を表す日本の古語です。まほろの宿で、ゆったりとした時の流れをお楽しみください。 「あすかのまほろば」の母屋は、レンタルスペースを営業中で新たなテナントも募集中。 母屋の土間や庭は利用者全員の共用スペースです。

Our house is traditional Japanese style house. 150 years old and in a very quiet location. We are renting house. Not shared with other guests. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
