This log home is surrounded by a working cattle ranch. The area is peaceful with total privacy. Incredible view of Devils Tower from all areas of the home. Outdoor activities include hiking, snowshoeing, sledding and only five minutes from Devils Tower. Wildlife and livestock can be seen around the property. Warm up by the wood stove on cold days and enjoy dinners on the deck during warm days. All pets must be approved by host before your stay, failure to do so will result in loss of deposit.

It’s also home to friendly chickens, cats, horses, and goats that you can pet if you’d like. As a guest you are welcome to use the fenced in children’s area which has a trampoline and play set.

Looking to get away from it all? This cozy log cabin sits alone on a rise overlooking fields of sunflowers, where the deer & antelope graze and Kara Creek runs lazily through the valley. Guests are welcome to hike, fish Kara Creek, or fish the 11 acre pond stocked with trout (many over 20 inches) and large mouth bass. You will enjoy a nice, quiet neighborhood to stay in while visiting Gillette. This basement apartment is attached to our house where we live upstairs, but you’ll have your own unique space downstairs. You’ll be within walking distance to downtown Gillette Main Street! Only a 10 min. walk to our cozy, family friendly downtown with great local shops and restaurants. You’d also be a 5 minute drive to any grocery store, gas station and the interstate from our neighborhood.

The Carter house has a lot of charm and character. Gas lanterns adorn either side of the beautiful front door, upon entering you are greeted with elegance beginning with a crystal chandelier that drops through the ceiling from the cozy library upstairs. The main floor has a TV area with a big sectional, dining table, gas fireplace, full size kitchen, bathroom, laundry and kids bunk room. There are 3 bedrooms each room having its own private entrance.

Safe neighborhood with well lit sidewalks and lots of parking.

Enjoy a garden level apartment in the lower level of our home, with private entrance and off street parking. Quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. You are welcome to relax in the back yard with small pond and firepit, shady trees and wildflowers (minus flowers and shade in winter of course). The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Very close to downtown and hospital.
