The historic city of Georgetown is 12 miles south, Charleston with its southern charm & history is 55 miles, perfect day trip. 2 bikes are here to explore the bike trail accessible in front of our home toward a wooded trail to Pawleys Island. Kayaks are available to explore the inlet. A Huntington Beach State Park pass is provided. See my guidebook for future events.

Pawleys Island Family Retreat for any Season

Our Pawleys Island house on the water is a 3,770 s.f. home that appeals to families with kids, groups & snowbirds. Two families renovated & decorated home in 2017. Pawleys Island is oldest seaside community in U.S. Property overlooks marsh & you can hear the ocean from our backyard. Drive to beach 12 minutes away. Our spot provides more privacy than beachfront homes. View is breathtaking at all times of day & year. Like us, you may find yourselves choosing the marsh over the beach some days.

Penny’s Place in Pawleys

This new studio is perfect for 2 people with a new queen size bed & pull out couch. Located 1 mile from the ICW and approximately 3 miles from Pawleys Island’s beaches.Plenty of room to park a boat or motorcycles. The studio has a brand new kitchen with new cabinets and appliances, perfect for whipping up a quick breakfast.Historic Georgetown is a quick 15 min.There's also Brookgreen Gardens,and the shops and restaurants of Pawleys Island. Beach chairs & towels and a 2 person kayak available.

The first guest comment I hear is "Wow - pictures don't do this place justice - the house is incredible and the views are spectacular! The next comment is "I thought we were way out in the country but it's only 20 minutes to the waterfront town of Georgetown, with shops, dining, museums and more. Looking to get away? This place is truly a retreat- a 3 bedroom house on the beautiful Black River in Georgetown. Four kayaks provided, swim or fish off the dock just a few steps from the house.

Maggie Jo’s paradise on the river !

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Maggie jo is a 1970 completely restore houseboat. She has got a full size refrigerator , gas range ,microwave and toaster oven. Out on the back deck she has a gas grill. The aft berth has 2 full beds that are extremely comfortable. Galley dinette make into bed and the couch in the saloon pulls out also. While on the decks you will see eagles, dolphins , gator or fishing jumping out of the water. I also have 2 tandem kayaks for your use.

Use of the fire pits, pizza oven, grills, kayaks, gym and bikes. The beach is just a short 3 mile drive. Boat landing is just down the road, bring your boat and park it in driveway. Near MI & Gtwn.

Sip coffee on the back porch while overlooking the back 40 with cows grazing and calves frolicking. Cozy up and star gaze by the fire pit in the yard or have a cocoa by the fireplace while you relax on our 200 acre farm deep in the woods away from the hustle. This is your place. Walk down the holly trail and gather wildflowers, unplug! Chickens & goats range the yard.

Less than 1 mile to Surfside Beach & new pier- 2 beds, 1 large bath w double sink, oversized jacuzzi tub, separate shower, large living room w sofa bed, dining & breakfast areas, laundry, sunroom w/hot tub, large front patio & fenced yard. ***Please do not book this house if you have so many people coming they cannot share the master bath located in the master suite. ***There's a separate apt owner may stay w/ back entrance, so fenced yard is the only potentially shared area.
