The Lodge - Restored, Rustic 2 Bedroom On The River

The Lodge, a historic cabin on River Mountain Farm, is a private 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house that sleeps up to 4 and is pet friendly. Renovated in 2022, we restored this 1880s cabin and added modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. It is perfect for a family getaway and has two private bedrooms along with a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room, and a living room with working fireplace. The bathroom features a claw foot tub with shower fixtures. On site, you'll have access to 137 acres of hiking and nearly a mile and a quarter of river frontage for fishing or kayaking. You can borrow one of our four kayaks, two paddle boards, or two river tubes or bring your own and launch from our new floating dock. We provide most of the gear you will need including adult life jackets, paddles, and waterproof bags. The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. The Lodge always includes free coffee and free firewood (sustainably harvested from the property) for the fire pit. A new 48-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 20,000 kWh and covers all of our energy consumption. Barnswallow Ranch, 3 BDM, SPLS 10, Private Pool

This beautiful country setting is the perfect space to relax. Guests can use the inground pool Memorial Day to Labor Day. Located a 3/4 mile back a gravel driveway, the farm is surrounded by beautiful scenery and woodland with lots of songbirds and wildlife coming right up to the yard. The home sleeps 10 guests, has 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, central heating and air, and numerous outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy nature and the property. There is no TV but there is WIFI throughout.

Guests have complete privacy inside the cottage with a full kitchen, two TV's, Wi-Fi, and a mini split system for heating and cooling. As well as exclusive access to the hot tub, fire pit and pond outside! We also have various shared hiking trails through the woods surrounding the cottage for campers and cottage guests to enjoy!

Our unique home is picturesquely nestled along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River in Everett, Pennsylvania (Bedford County). It was originally constructed in 2009, then updated and expanded in 2019 to nearly double its original size.

Cottage in the Woods

This beautiful house was built with tranquility in mind. The wall of windows facing the woods, balconies opening from each bedroom, screened in side porch—all make it easy to take in the quiet natural setting in every season. PLEASE NOTE: For safety reasons, we strongly suggest adults only or children 14 and older. The steps are hardwood. The back of the house rests next to a ravine.
