Prepare a feast in the well-equipped kitchen or enjoy a glass of wine on the beautiful covered deck next to the fire pit or in the hot tub. On indoor days, entertain yourself with the many games available. For outdoor enthusiasts, explore the numerous hiking trails in Sunshine Valley and Manning Park. Well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional pet fee.

Hitchings Hideaway

A cozy rustic log cabin in the Cascade Mountain community of Sunshine Valley. This little cabin will provide you with an escape from the city with its relaxing (private) hot tub & gas fireplace. *Pls note: Sunshine Valley is a neighborhood of cabins-we have neighbors on either side. Some people enjoy bringing ATV's to the area. You may hear these vehicles, particularly in the busier summer months and/or weekends. The community is growing and there are some new constructions in the area.

Enjoy the soothing sounds of a nearby creek from the main bedroom. This spot is perfect for the 4x4 enthusiast, just minutes from a forestry service road. There is ample parking on site for truck and trailer. Enjoy nature and hiking at beautiful Cascade Falls, which is also only minutes away.

In these rather adventurous times in our world, we invite you to watch the sun set early over the mountain and feel the cool breeze sweeping down its steep face. Go to sleep to the sound of a creek roaring in the distance, wake up to the sound of beautiful birds. Have a fire, go for a hike through nearby teapot hill. Unwind in our space and let it all fall away. We welcome you to breath deeply and relax at our cabin. Ask us about our wedding venue!

Cozy Log Cabin

Our log home was built to replicate historical buildings in BC with a roof line borrowed from Quebec. The main floor is an open concept with a kitchen, dining area and living room. Bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. I have a clawfoot bathtub but do not have a shower. The back yard is large and fenced for kids and a dog to enjoy. Bring your own wood if you want to use the fire pit. Bring pods if you want to use the Keurig or Nespresso.

Superb in season salmon river fishing, with lakes and trails nearby. While the summer months are the most popular, garden lovers will appreciate the months of April and May and the burst of colour.
