Press a button on the remote control to raise the blinds and let the morning sun fill a roomy, renovated space. There's an airy seaside feel inside and out, thanks to large windows, white decor and blue accents. A private dock on a tidal creek with a great view of a 150 year old lighthouse, a flower garden and an extensive lawn make this property ideal for friends, family and pets. This is the upper level of a two unit home so very safe for families. An open concept kitchen, dining and living rooms are all connected. A very large breakfast bar with eight bar stools and a view of the TV. Premium cable TV and great wifi. This listing is for the use of the entire top floor unit. We only ask that guest not try to access the first level living space. The front and rear yards are available anytime during your stay. There is a large rear lawn with scenic marsh views and views of the Ravenel cable-stay Bridge and Morris Island lighthouse. The large front deck has limited views of the ocean and the breaking surf can be heard throughout the home. I'm available by text most anytime. If you should need anything please don't hesitate to notify me. I'd be glad to recommend restaurants, outings, shopping, etc. Jean and I want to make your vacation most enjoyable. Near the “washout” an area for the best surfing in SC, Morris Island where the Civil War Battle of Battery Wagner was fought and a bird sanctuary for the bird watcher Uber and Lyft for trips into the city of Charleston. There is no public bus service on the island. Traffic getting on the island can be heavy on the weekends so do your grocery shopping during the week or on your way in. There is a small market on the island but very limited and expensive.

Welcome to Terrapin Station, an impeccably renovated 1950s Folly Beach cottage. A renovation completed in 2019 took this house to the studs and transformed it into a modern, functional beach retreat. Custom wood work throughout the house using reclaimed wood—supplied by our friends at Carolina Lumber Sourcing—makes this house warm and inviting. The space embodies the unique, relaxing, and funky vibe that is Folly Beach. Make yourself at home at Terrapin Station and enjoy the Folly lifestyle.

Smile House

The Smile house shares a porch area with the main house/Inn at Beachside. The 2 king bed/2 bath beach cottage (formerly Christy's dental office) has since been converted back and filled with Folly charm! Amenities include fully equipped kitchen, living areas, as well as a large front porch! Paid parking is available across the street, however there is parking in front on a first come first serve basis. Due to the great location, many guests never use their car once they have arrived.
