TackTavern Ranch was once the coal mining town of Howard and we honor those that worked and lived here. Set in the foothills of the Appalachians the Miners Camp is the opportunity to experience nature in a primitive setting without the cost and effort of packing your own tent. The outdoor shower, cots and fire pit make the outdoor setting just a bit more comfortable.

The Lawrence Farmhouse

The 121 year old Lawrence Farmhouse was hand built by the Lawrence family in 1903 and is located on the Lawrence Farm in Fayette County, Alabama. The Lawrence Farm is a registered USDA and Alabama Century and Heritage Farm and has been in continuous agricultural production by the same family for over 150 years. The Lawrence farm is also a registered Alabama Tree Farm and Alabama Treasure Forest. The Farmhouse is often used by the family for stays during Hunting season.
