You can enjoy breakfast or light lunch at the Post Office Café, perhaps a pub meal at the Blackwood Hotel, but for an amazing food experience, Blackwood Ridge is a must, but advanced bookings are advisable. There are many beautiful walks through the forest, and down by the Lerderderg River, and Garden of St Erth nursery, gardens and Café are also close by.
