Acerca de Kelly, el anfitrión
Since 2007 I've led Nashville Hiking Meetup, a 17,000+ member-strong outdoor club in Tennessee, and have personally hosted nearly 100 events over the years: hiking, camping, travel, and volunteering. I truly believe in the restorative power of nature, and sharing that experience with other people is my passion. I also strive to be a good steward of the trails by leading and working volunteer trai…
Qué haremos
Wanna escape the indoors and get your heart pumping? We'll explore three to five miles of pristine hiking trails at Radnor Lake, a welcomed oasis within Nashville city limits just seven miles south of downtown. Our hike will take us along the lake and up into the surrounding hills, including one of the highest points in Nashville. This hike will be good exercise but this is not a sprint. Also, w…
Qué incluiré
Souvenir bandana 󳀁
Each hiker will receive a commemorative Radnor Lake trail map bandana that you'll cherish forever.

CLIF or other energy bar 󴀁
Requisitos de edad
La edad mínima para participar son 8 años. Los participantes también pueden traer a sus hijos menores de 2 años.
Notas
Please arrange your own transportation to and from. Dress for the weather and wear hiking shoes (tennis shoes are fine) or boots. We'll cancel if thunderstorms are expected. No dogs.
Dónde estaremos
Meet at the Visitor Center bike rack. We'll begin hiking around the picturesque lake, up to Ganier Ridge (one of the highest points in the county), down to the marshy areas where deer and waterfowl feed, up the South Trail and down again, across a spillway bridge, and back to the visitor center. The majority of the trails are wooded paths; short areas are pavement. The park only allows dogs on paved trails so this is not the hike for Barkula.

Guests must be fit enough to hike at least two miles minimum on wooded trails (this includes kids). Depending on the fitness level and desire of the group, we can add or subtract miles and difficulty. This hike will be good exercise but this is not a sprint. Please expect somewhat frequent stops to talk about flora, fauna, and history. We typically hike even if it's raining but for safety reasons we will adjust or cancel in case thunderstorms are expected. Please silence your smartphone ringer during the hike. Photos and videos from your phone and posting on the socials is very encouraged, though! Kids are welcomed but the park does not allow strollers or dogs on the wooded trails. Pavement only for the furry pals. Weekend and weekday bookings available. Contact me for posting additional days and times.
