Walnut Farm homestay

Our place is self contained , separate from the main house. 2 bedrooms are upstairs access 2nd bedroom through first. No full oven but several other cooking options. One hour to Rotorua or Tauranga, less than 30 mins to Rotorua lakes or Whakatane .15 mins drive to Kawerau closest New World supermarket. Homestay is behind our house so follow the gravel drive around ours to park next to our woodshed. Sorry no EV charge available but charging stations are close by in Kawerau or Whakatane

Surrounded by the bush, our unique cosy studio is a welcome retreat. Breakfast and good coffee is provided for our guests. Situated at the top of a hill with good views. We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Comfortable 2 bedroom cottage, 15 minutes to Thornton Beach, Te Mahoe Dam, fishing, jet-skiing, 30 minutes from Lake Rotoma - jet skiing, canoeing, 30 minutes from Whakatane, 40 minutes from pipis and cockles at Ohope and Ohiwa. One hour to Opotiki ideal opening to the East Coast. The free pools at Kawerau are wonderful and will suit all ages in hot blistery Summer or cool Winter weather. Awakeri hotpools are open all year around.
