This charming two bedroom cottage has been lovingly restored with a beautiful, bright colour scheme whilst retaining some vintage features. This is a perfect rural retreat for solo travellers, couples, families or small groups. The cottage is in an ideal location for those looking to try the local amenities such as fishing, hill walking, golfing, painting, photography, or for those holidaymakers who prefer a more peaceful retreat.

Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

Donegal Thatch Cottage

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up.

There are three car parking spaces at the cottage When you get here no need to drive the car into town as its only a 5 min walk into the village where there is a good selection of eateries and bars. The local area offers a stunning beach, golf course, various water activities and other places of beauty close bay.
