Constructed from local hardwood timber, the house is imbued with a distinctive Australian aesthetic and the walls are decorated with botanical eucalyptus drawings. Spend summer evenings on the expansive veranda, taking in panoramic vistas and breathtaking sunsets and when the cooler weather arrives, unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the rustic appeal of a roaring open fire. If you are keen for adventure, take an exhilarating wilderness walk or kayaking adventure on the Tooloom river. Pack a picnic hamper, fishing rods and sunglasses and head for the river, where you can cast a lure and wait for a bass to strike. The architecturally designed homestead is perfect for large families or groups, with its wrap around veranda and spacious, travertine ensuites, adjoining every room. For biosecurity reasons, we ask that you leave your pets at home, but feel free to encounter the many cattle, horses, Pretty Faced Wallabies, occasional shy koalas and platypus that call this landscape their home. Manning cottage was once a school house, but now welcomes visitors to its rooms. Set in a tranquil environment surrounded by birdlife and rolling hills, the cottage is beautifully decorated for practicality and comfort. A well stocked breakfast basket with locally sourced produce is included. The Upper Clarence district offers a choice of outdoor activities including canoeing, fishing, bird-watching, bushwalking, 4wdriving as well as the local show, campdraft, and dog trials are held annually.

With a two kilometers stretch of unsealed road to arrive at Long Shadows (studio cabin), your hosts, Liz and Pete will be far enough away for privacy and near enough to help with anything. Long shadows is the idyllic location for your next rural retreat or romantic getaway.

Mary River farm cottage

The Cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, a sofa bed, a bathroom and a small kitchen, with a gas BBQ on verandah. Its suitable for a small family. It has Air-con. The farm has a herd of cows and some cultivated fields. There is a kilometer of Mary River frontage with bird, rare lungfish, frogs and platypus. There are large areas of scenic bush walking. Our place is dog friendly, but prefer the dog to stay outside in the secure enclosure on verandah.

The cottage is a modern 2 bedroom cabin with all the modern amenities including a well equiped kitchen, 2 large bedrooms with luxury bedding, modern bathroom, comfortable lounge room with AC. Outside is a large wrap around deck with direct access from both bedrooms, large table for entertaining, BBQ and a bar table which is the perfect position to sit with a morning coffee. There is also a large fire pit that you are free to use and cook on.
