This is a self contained studio apartment in a quiet country lane, only 10mins drive from Knock airport. 20 mins from Claremorris, 30mins from Castlebar. If you fancy the beach, both Galway and Strandhill Co Sligo are only an hour away. Westport is also a great attraction where you can climb the famous Croagh Patrick. Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

It is set in large gardens . Perfectly peaceful, with access to quiet walks. Sitting out listening to the resident owl, or the early morning bird song, magic. We are a few miles from the beautiful Lough Carra, and within a half hour of Cong, Lough Mask , Lough Corrib, the gateway to Connemara. Come enjoy the peace.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
