You will find in “Casa do Preto”, the pastry shop down the road, many new and delicious Portuguese pastries, try the “queijadas”… delicious! There is also another cozy coffee shop: NATÁLIA in a walking distance. You can also find many restaurants, and nice typical places to eat. Go to Sintra town center: is one of those places full of magic and mystery where nature and man have combined in a symbiosis so perfect that UNESCO has classified it as a World Heritage Site. Exotic gardens, lush parklands with centuries-old trees, fantastically decorated palaces, a Moorish castle, older than Europe, small lakes with nooks and fake ruins in the midst of nature are certainly inspiring for a special moment. Sintra is surely one of the most romantic destinations in Portugal, where kings and queens have fallen in love and Which writers and poets, such as Eça de Queiroz and Lord Byron, have recorded for ever in their works. Things to do in Sintra: Have a coffee with the amazing pastry “travesseiro” in Periquita coffee shop. Visit the palace PALÁCIO DA VILA. Visit the house and gardens of QUINTA DA REGALEIRA. Then go up the mountain to another palace PALÁCIO DA PENA and castle CASTELO DOS MOUROS. Get back in the car and go to CONVENTO DOS CAPUCHOS ancient convent in the mountain, then to PENINHA, and finally to Azóia where you can relax in a bar called BAR DO MOINHO. Nearby you can also visit CABO DA ROCA the most western part of Europe. You could carry up north by the coast and pass a beach called ADRAGA with a great seafood restaurant. 3 km after you will find another great beach PRAIA GRANDE. And finally if you carry on you can stop in a small and cute village by the sea AZENHAS DO MAR. Visit CASCAIS and ESTORIL: The house is only 11 km from the cosmopolitan Cascais, with its marina, entertainment, shopping, beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, delightful esplanades by the sea, not to mention the buzz of a very active nightlife. Estoril, that has the biggest casino in Europe, is only 9 km away. The beach Guincho, in Cascais, with its surrounding natural park, is highly recommended for beach and water sports activities (as windsurf or kitesurf). Along this coast the choice of beaches is endless and white sandy family beaches are only 15 minutes drive away. The closest beaches are Praia Grande, Guincho and Estoril. LISBON: Portugal´s capital is only 20 to 25 minutes away by car. Heading to the old part of Lisbon you can first get to CHIADO, park the car for the day and start by having a Portuguese expresso in BRASILEIRA or BENARD coffee shops (never miss the pastry PASTEL DE NATA!). Up another hill across downtown you can take a TUK TUK TOUR to get you to the castle CASTELO DE SÃO JORGE and the old city MOURARIA. There are plenty of beautiful churches all around the old part of Lisbon. Then follows Continente in Cascaishopping shopping center (8.30am-11pm Monday to Sunday; 8.30am-12pm Friday and Saturday). Pingo Doce is in Portela de Sintra (in front of Casa do Preto, turn left and go down the road. Go from sintra about 12 km to Magoito beach (Praia do Magoito). When you arrive in Magoito go all the way down to the beach and pass the fortress by the sea. Turn right and you will see the last two white houses. You're there! All the information for an unforgettable stay at the magoito seacliff houses; places to visit, restaurants, sugestions etc. When required, we can make it happen! Just 12 km from sintra center (vila) "the Portuguese Environment Agency is finishing the recovery of the cliff, located in front of the house, between 50 and 100 meters. There are no noisy works anymore but only a fence in the cliff. An apartment with a surface area of 112 m2. The apartment is in a historic building completely renovated, that results in a design apartment and building with all the contemporany confort. The apartment is a loft concept that ofers on the ground floor a large living room with sofas and lots of natural light. On same level, there is the dining area with a fully equipped open kitchen. Also on same level there is a private bedroom and the bathroom. On the upper floor, you will find one bedroom that opens to the living room. Everything results in an apartment of excellence, with sober decoration and with all the amenities for a memorable stay. All the areas of the apartment are acessible. Available to help during stay. The loft is in the Príncipe Real neighborhood, located at the top of one of Lisbon's seven hills, with beautiful city views. It's a neighborhood with palatial buildings, gardens, dynamic shops, and restaurants with famous chefs. The nearest metro station is Rato, yellow line (10 min walking). The apartment have one parking space. Short walking distance from the main historical sites of the city: Bairro Alto, Carmo, Chiado, Avenida da Liberdade, Castelo de S. Jorge, Praça do Comércio. Guests can access all areas except the storage area. Usually we will be present at the entrance and exit and available for any unforeseen situation. Stroll down to the water just a few steps away at the end of the road. Venture out and explore the neighbourhood filled with quaint houses, lovely restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops. Preferably walk as it your in the center of the village of Alcochete. Smoking is not allowed, nor bring pets. No parties or events allowed Children up to 1 year old for safety reasons, since there are no gates or doors on the stairs between the mezzanine / bedroom and the ground floor.
