The Johnson House Cottage

The cottage is a secluded guesthouse in a friendly neighborhood with spectacular views of the Knik Glacier and river. This retreat has room for up to four guests. It is an open floor plan with a double bed on the ground floor and twin beds in an upstairs loft. The kitchen has an induction cooktop, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave. Propane BBQ on the deck and bathroom with a shower. Our cottage is not visible from the parking area so self check-in is not an option.

Views from the bedroom, living room and kitchen are unbeatable. Three miles to downtown Palmer as well as the Glenn Hwy and Palmer/Wasilla Hwy, and Alaska State Fairgrounds. Guest parking available directly next to entrance stairs.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Occasional moose sleep in the yard as additional guests. The legendary Valley wind rarely gets to this spot! The bike path is 100 yards away to Palmer or to the South Face of the Butte to climb. Longer stays available with cost savings, just ask. Booking window is opened up only 2 weeks ahead but ask for additional availability further ahead.
