Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This historic cabin built in 1920 was recently refurbished to its old charm with some modern upgrades for your comfort. The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

Built in 1969, the cabin completed a 2.5 year renovation in 2023 to meet modern tastes and amenities but keeps the original 60's groovy vibe. This unique family retreat offers a 900 sq ft deck, hot tub, firepits, and stunning views. Julian, a 1.5 hours drive east from San Diego, is a small town with big activities: hiking, biking, fishing, winery/breweries, winter sledding, apple pie eating.

During the day you have beautiful views of oaks, meadows and mountains, and at night, enjoy star gazing in the hot tub in this rare dark sky region of San Diego. Sleeps 4. This site also serves a a retreat hub and glamping tents can be added for up to 12 people. It can include the Spartan which makes a great catering base and extra accommodation. See pictures below.

Cedar Crest is a nicely remodeled cabin while keeping its original charm. It is easy access. A few steps lead you to the deck in the middle of the trees... This cabin can sleep 2 people in a king bed and if you would like to bring your kids, the master bedroom has a full size futon. (Kids sleep free) For pet owner, the east side of the cabin has a fenced-in space. We recommend you do not let them be there unsupervised as a motivated mountain lion could jump the fence and arm your pet.

Built in 1928, it is a cozy, rustic mountain cabin perfect for relaxing and watching the wildlife from the deck, including deer, wild turkeys and a variety of birds. Personal touches that make it feel like you are staying at a friend's place, it's perfect for couples and solo adventurers.

We spent over a year lovingly renovating and remodeling this vintage fire lookout cabin into a luxury vacation rental with a spacious Hot Springs spa. The two-bedroom, one-bath cabin is just over a mile from the historic town of Julian, yet it’s a private sanctuary with panoramic forest and Volcan Mountain Preserve views. The Enchanted Lookout is beautifully cleaned and sanitized after each stay.
