Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. Suitable for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is great for people visiting Edinburgh who would like to spend time both in the city centre sightseeing and enjoy outdoor activities.

Ord’s Loft, situated in White Horse Close, is one of the most desirable and unique properties in Edinburgh’s old town. Positioned on the top floor of what was once the White Horse Coaching Inn, built by Laurence Ord in 1624, the loft is entered by the iconic steps seen in so many photos of Edinburgh. The tower is located in the historic town of Dalkeith and the settlement of Eskbank. 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh airport. A bus service into Edinburgh stops every 10- 15 minutes, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. 25 minutes by rail to the Scottish Borders or to the centre of Edinburgh from the local Eskbank Train Station, a 20 minute walk from the tower.

Our apartment has traditional features such as a real fire place, high ceiling and cornices. The flat has recently been modernised with a well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. We have all the cooking equipment you need to cook a lovely meal.

Visitors parking permits will be provided (free of charge) in order that you can park close to the house. There are always plenty of parking spaces available.
