This property has a queen bed and a sofa sleeper & is conveniently located close to the Redwood Nat’l Forest Visitor Center, just 1 block away from the beach, making it easy to enjoy a day in the forest or by the ocean. We are also only 1/2 mile from the lighthouse & a few blocks from the aquarium, both of which are popular attractions in the area. Looking for even more adventure, kayak down the Smith River!

Visit us at our redwood homestead to experience modern country living. Our cabin is nestled between tall groves on an acre of land just outside of town. We have chickens, a koi pond, fruit trees, and are surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. Both the National Park and ocean are less then a 10 minute drive away, making this the ideal spot to recharge in between adventures. Just outside your door you will find a manicured 3-acre blissful escape from the hustle of life. Explore old growth redwood stumps, watch birds and pollinators work in the sun, and close your eyes to absorb the sound of the waterfall at the pond. Pick fresh berries or fruit when it is in season, and enjoy soaking up the peace.

Redwood Bungalow – built in 1923, Newly Renovated

Redwood Bungalow is a completely renovated 1920’s home with lots of natural light and period architectural and woodwork detail, located 15 minutes drive from Redwood National and State Parks, and walking distance to the ocean and downtown Crescent City. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, that sleeps up to 6 people. The upstairs master bedroom and bath have distant views of the ocean, Battery Point Lighthouse, and the mountains behind Redwood National Park.

Gayle's Garden Cottage

A tiny house cottage set in a garden amongst the redwoods, surrounded by rhodies, maples, birch and apple trees. Beautiful in all seasons. The cottage is foam insulated and thus very quiet for a good night's sleep. I use fragrance free detergent on linens. The queen bed (3 layers of high density memory foam mattresses) is in a loft, accessible by an angled loft ladder with handhold cutouts (not suitable for infants or children). Nema 14-50 plug available.

Bedroom 2 has two twin beds. Pack N Play available. Walk-in shower, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, basic spices, k-cup coffee maker, electric hot water kettle, microwave. Driveway camera.
