This cozy cabin is located in Crawford County, Michigan, known for its military & State owned land. 60% of the county is available for recreation including ORV and snowmobile trails, XC skiing, kayaking, biking and hiking. The cabin is surrounded by ORV and snowmobile trails. It is centrally located in the northern part of the lower peninsula for easy day trips to areas such as Mackinac Island and Traverse City. Higgins lake, with a small beautiful beach is just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.

Or just sit and relax around a campfire! The cabin is fully furnished with all bedding, towels, dish cloths etc. and a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill. There are outdoor and indoor games. Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, built with many unique features: a log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop on our property. The gorgeous metal stair railing hand designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

The bottom story is a finished lower level with a separate entrance and living area from the homeowners above. The suite has a walk out onto the patio with a gentle slope to 200 ft of rocky bottom river frontage. This is located five miles from the city of Grayling. You will be close to hiking trails, hiking, snowmobile trails, and skiing.

Just minutes from Hartwick Pines State Park or Forbush Corner for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. 20 minute drive from treetops resort in Gaylord. Camp Grayling (near I-75) holds occasional trainings see their FB for schedules.

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.
