The Cottage at 15th century Sparket Mill

This is the old miller’s cottage of a 15th century mill, situated in secluded part of the Northern Lake District National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Stay in a unique one bedroom apartment , with its own private entrance, bedroom upstairs with a kingsize bed. There is a downstairs lounge and en-suite. Situated on the corner of a river, surrounded by wildlife and wildflower meadows, only 5 minutes from the shores of Ullswater and 15 from the mountain ranges of Helvellyn and Blencathra.

18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

The Old Smithy was the original farm house built in the 18th Century. Completely renovated from derelict in 2002 and freshly redecorated in 2021, it boasts many of its original features; including the old fire range which will keep you warm on those winter nights (an initial basket of logs is F.O.C.) Downstairs, sandstone flag floors and oak beamed ceilings are throughout. A biomass boiler heats the cottage with timber sourced from the farm. Includes laundry, towels, heating and electricity.

The Old Tannery

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. A short beautiful walk will bring you to 'Acorn Bank' National Trust House, with spectacular walks along the river and a tea room.

Orton itself is very popular and is situated on the famous Coast to Coast route. It has an award winning cafe and a chocolate shop, a monthly farmers market, a village store and a village pub! The cottage is really cosy, pet-friendly and has super-fast WiFi. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay welcoming, cosy and fun!

It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on an evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. Crown Cottage

End terraced, 1 bedroom cottage situated in the centre of Appleby (1 minute walk from the Crown & Cushion and the market square) consisting of a lounge/diner and fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven & microwave. Upstairs there is one good size bedroom (with the choice of king or twin beds) with its own walk in wardrobe & flat screen TV, a superb large double shower room with underfloor heating. We accept a max of 1 well-behaved dog when pre-booked.

Accommodation provided in delightful character house in Morland near Penrith. The Eden Valley is a charming unspolit part of Cumbria but only 20 minutes from Ullswater. Private annexe, with separate entrance, small kitchen, sitting room with TV. Downstairs toilet. Private outside patio with table and chairs. Facilities to cook simple meals. Tea, coffee and milk provided. It is important to note the bedroom is en-suite but with access through the main house.
