It is the perfect mix of quiet retreat and town life You can open the gate and walk straight out onto the marshes and down to the river. Or take the five min stroll into town and enjoy the beach, restaurants and all Aldeburgh has to offer. It is good for couples and solo adventurers. The Stables have been converted into a cosy country cottage with contemporary furnishings, fitted kitchen, bedroom with super king bed, en suite bathroom, shower room, wood burner, 2 TVs and wifi, books and games, and tennis court (by arrangement).

Close to the ancient Moot Hall, approx 60 second walk to the beach, boat pond and 2 mins to one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, the Co-op (conveniently open long hours) and other great shops, restaurants and cinema.

The Old Lamp Room. Self contained annexe

The Old Lamp Room used to store the lamps for the lighthouse until it became automatic. It is now an annexe to the old Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage, which is our family home. Guests have their own front door and are free to use the small front courtyard garden which has a bistro table and chairs. Situated up a small path, behind the lighthouse and moments from the beach. The high street with its shops, restaurants and pubs is a 5 minute stroll away. An ideal cosy bolt hole.
