There is no shortage of activities in the area, from hiking Pen y Fan and Four Waterfalls to experiencing attractions like Zip World. The accommodation is situated in a picturesque Welsh rural setting, the ambiance is enhanced by the soothing chirping of birds, fresh air, occasional dog barking. Ideal for visiting Brecon Beacons.

Detached 2 bedroom bungalow set in 18 acres

We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

Enjoy a stay at our lovely modern and quirky terrace house in the Welsh Valleys. The house is in a central location for outdoor adventure lovers with plenty of hiking spots and mountain bike trails a short distance away. History buffs will find numerous interesting sites to visit nearby. If you are looking for some where peaceful to work there is a dedicated office space and wifi. The train station is a 4 minute drive up the road for an easy commute into Newport or Cardiff. Amenities nearby.

Quiet Retreat with peaceful surroundings, parking

Our cottage is a lounge/Kitchen that is light & airy with French doors leading to the patio, I supply milk, Tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, cake, biscuits, We have a washing machine & Tumble dryer in the kitchen, These are NOT for use of one Night Stays, Only for guests staying 4 days or longer. Upstairs, double bedroom, TV, Hairdryer, wardrobe, hangers, bedside cabinets lamps, Iron & ironing Board. Bathroom bath & overhead shower, I supply Towels, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner & toilet rolls,

The Bwthyn - a riverside rural retreat

The Bwthyn - a tiny cruck-beamed cottage, situated at the confluence of two streams, tastefully restored to offer a place of peace in beautiful surroundings in the Brecon Beacons National Park, close to Pen y Fan & Black Mountains. A cosy quiet space to stop and breathe, with walks at all levels from the door. James' Place@Dowlais offers 7 individually and creatively styled self-catering studios. They are ideally placed for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park, visiting Bike Park Wales, Zip World South or working away from home. We are dog friendly and there is a £20 charge per dog per stay. In addition we are happy for bikes to be stored in the main hall under the stairs if you bring chain and padlock or taken into your studio providing they are clean.

Ample parking available in a gated and secure area.

Located on the edge of Abergavenny town with views of the Blorenge, it is an ideal base for walking, cycling or foodie getaway. Inside you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. *Gavenny Cottage no longer has a hot tub.

Get comfortable and cosy in our log cabin, with its own jacuzzi. The cabin overlooks a river ,real log fire , 1 min to A467 , 4 mins or 20 min walk to train station, plenty of cycle routes and walks , supermarket close , short drive to Brecon beacons , we are gay friendly , free parking on drive 😄 local club 1 min walking distance ,very welcoming 😀
