Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Bike Park Wales and the Brecon Beacons are also just a short drive away making the house an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore all that the area has to offer. Escape to the Bannau Brychieniog / Brecon Beacons National Park and stay in our cosy shepherd's hut. The 'Bee Hive' hut is close to the village of Penderyn and next to Beili Helyg Farm. The hut has a double bed, kitchen & dining area with folding table, fridge & ice box, combi microwave oven, double induction hob and Belfast sink. There is a shower room with flushing toilet. Below the master bed is an alcove with a futon for a child to sleep comfortably. Decking, fire pit, BBQ, WiFi & TV.

(* Bike Park Wales, Zip World Tower, Pen-y-Fan, Waterfall Walks, Show Caves) We are in an urban setting with pubs, a post office, shop, and takeaways all nearby. Aberdare Town is 1 mile away. Dare Valley Country Park is a pleasant 2 mile walk away and there are other walks from the door although none are obvious so please ask for details.

The Drift at Green Meadow

The Drift is a self-contained annexe situated at Green Meadow Riding Centre, a family run business in the heart of the beautiful Dare Valley Country Park. The land has a lot of history and was once the site of a small drift mine, hence the name. This was just one of many local collieries throughout the valley. The accommodation is tucked away behind the farmhouse and has a private entrance for your use with off road parking on site.
